The cultivar, the myth, the legend. With an origin story rooted in New York, its ancestral lineage can be traced back to Chemdog ’91 and Mass Super Skunk, with possible influences from Northern Lights. Due to its underground origins, accounts of its provenance differ. By inadvertently cross-pollinating Chemdog and Mass Super Skunk, Sour Diesel was subsequently distributed widely by a group of legacy operators in the Albany region. Our goal was to honor its history and characteristics. Upon the initial inhale of MFNY’s Sour Diesel, the palate is greeted with a rich diesel fuel and skunk flavor that ultimately transitions to a sour cream exhale.
This particular cultivar is renowned for its captivating aroma, which can permeate a space even in minimal quantities.
Alongside its distinctive flavor profile, the appearance of the Sour Diesel flower is equally legendary. The round, spongy buds are adorned with short foxtails, creating a spiky exterior, embellished with orange hairs and a generous coating of trichomes that envelop the rich emerald green base.
As a highly potent sativa, it delivers a head high that is guaranteed to transport consumers who recall it into a nostalgic time machine experience.
